My Life From a Trash Can

I have always feared the day after graduation. I can picture myself roaming around dark and rainy streets with my diploma clutched in one hand and tears in my eyes. I would periodically scream things like, "LOOK AT ME, I CAN WORK FOR YOU!" or "PLEASE JUST TAKE A PEEK AT MY RESUME, PLEASE!!" In the end I would be forced to take up residence on Sesame Street, like Oscar the Grouch, in some trash can. People would call me Garbage Girl and i could sing about the letter "G" every day. ;)

Time

Dear time,

I feel like you have no respect for those who have too much to do with themselves. You ruthlessly rush on without any thought for the problems you may cause. Can you please slow down and give me some time to breath, finish my resume, get my letters of recommendation, apply for work, do my homework, take care of my calling, finish my senor project, keep on top of work, eat, sleep and have a small social life? I need your help and cooperation. Let me know what you can do for me.

Thanks so much
Karen Campbell

PS: I want you to know that I do take responsibility for procrastinating right now, but I am waiting for a client phone call as well as writing to you. I am not being completely useless.
